Find Tomatillo Habanero and plants?

I did a tremendous job growth Habanero and tomatillo plants for my garden this summer. Then either wind or my cat run over the top of my body cold, a warm day, sunny, early this month and fried all my plants. I tried to find tomatillo habanero and plants in several greenhouses in the area (Southwest Michigan), with no luck. There are few sources of Habanero Pepper plants online, but all are too expensive. It seems impossible to find Tomatillo plants for sale online, only seeds. What? Why is there no source for these two plants common to Mexican cuisine? I can find dozens of varieties of peppers and tomatoes are much less common. 10 points for the first person who can identify the source of tomatillo plants (not seed!) on-line. A defect in 10 points for answering to the best explanation of why not available.

If the "MSU" on your screen names signify E. Lansing, go to Toledo. Our local greenhouses have the Havanese. Tomatoes grow too easy to worry about replanting. If you wish, send me a mail and I'll give you 2 names and addresses.

Bill Alexander had no idea that his simple dream of having a vegetable garden and small orchard in his backyard would lead him into life-and-death battles with groundhogs, webworms, weeds, and weather; midnight expeditions in the dead of winter to dig up fresh thyme; and skirmishes with neighbors who feed the vermin (i.e., deer). Not to mention the vacations that had to be planned around the harve…

Seeds and bulbs … a dying industry?

Seeds and bulbs have always existed. And as long as I can remember, they were an essential part the experience of gardening. Whata € ™ happened? Over the last ten years have seen a change in the shape of the garden. Gardeners young (less 35 years) to purchase instant gardens. You know the growers, the decision was made to put in their backyard, large baskets of nuts coconut deluxe already taken too. Patio Tomato Plants in pots, etc.

Le, older more experienced gardeners, who always bought his onion Mars and sets all the packets of seeds Inboxes, and the bulbs seem to be an endangered species. They are gardeners and gardeners who have started from scratch, has his hands dirty and I really enjoyed the work and achievements.

I hope to see gardeners today Gardeners court instant of time in "real" in the morning, having retired as full-time jobs and a more regular life. I know he are many of us who have helped our parents and grandparents of the garden and loved it.

I see some of our landscaping industry gradually disappear from local garden centers. People do not buy seeds and bulbs unless the sale or end of the season when they are about to be given. This would ruin the market. Fewer will be purchased by the retailer, which less manufactured by the producer.

The bulbs are a fantastic, in general, an inexpensive way to get some beautiful, unusual and even exotic looking plants your garden. Many bulbs can be purchased, you can not already grown in containers.

The seeds have more time and attention, however, are the least expensive to obtain many plants. Seeds are large perennials. Per 1 packet of seeds (generally less than $ 3) plants that return year after year, are distributed and can be divided to share with friends. I harvest the seeds of some of my year favorite, which, for the following year. Although not always the same as the original plant.

Starting from seed is a great project if you children. This is the most exciting spring in our house. We let the children choose their own packages of seeds, we create a table in the garage to repot. Usually cold and dark on the east coast to the outside.
Check children for water every day and when the seed first through the surface, it looks like Christmas! Once your warm enough for planting. Our twins 5 years and up to 2 years for planting "their" seed. They worry about them and watching them grow, and all those who come to our indoor plants are displayed. Our children have a great sense of pride in his garden. I know one day will probably gardeners when their lives are busy, but someday will be the "real" gardeners of our future.

We're so caught up in everyday life, we sometimes forget to stop and smell the flowers. Gardening is a release for me, a way to forget the stresses of everyday life disappear.

Try to buy packets of seeds or bulbs and creating a few life. Seeing someone live, grow and develop before you is very satisfying and beautiful.
