Setting up your garden for tomatoes, sweet corn and radishes
The first thing you must do is decide how much space you need to plant your garden. On the basis of this space, learn how many plants to plant.
The gardens need lots of sun. In general, the sun, the better. Do not plant your garden near trees or anything else that shadow too.
Vegetables need good drainage at maturity, so it's a good idea of planting on raised beds. You can make these blocks of cement or wood. If you do none of these resources, you can plant in raised mounds of earth.
There are several varieties of tomatoes choose. It is a good idea to plant tomatoes when the soil is warm, after all danger of frost is past.
If you plant dwarf plants, place them outside of 12 inches from the line. If you plant the cuttings, place 15 to 24 inches apart.
Tomatoes need lots of water, especially during dry summers. Water thoroughly every other day. Tomatoes in containers in May require watering daily or more frequent.
You know when Tomatoes are ready when they are firm and well colored. In hot summer, pick your tomatoes every day or two. Even after that are selected, they continue to ripen slowly over the next few weeks.
Growing sweet corn
Like tomatoes, there are many different varieties or corn. Sweet corn requires warm soil. You should plant corn just before the freeze date.
Place seeds 1 / 2 inch deep in one place fresh, moist soil. Area Grain 9 to 12 inches apart in the row. It's a good idea to plant two or several rows side by side to ensure good development. Allow 30 to 36 inches between rows.
Fertilize around tomato seeds planted when they are right. When maize reaches 10 inches, fertilize again. The corn will be ready for harvest after 3 weeks of silk at first sight.
The corn will be ready to harvest in 60-85 days. To collect, break the eye of the end of the stem at the base to avoid damaging the ear or stem.
Growing Radishes
Radishes need a fine, good seed bed prepared. It's a good idea to apply the manure or compost, about 6 weeks before planting. This helps develop the ability to retain soil moisture, and nutrient balances provided.
Radish small plant 1-2 inches apart, varieties and 6 inches wide. You can grow several rows of radishes on a bed, provided you keep your bed for at least 2 meters.
Radishes need constant moisture. If dried for growth, it will be bitter. Keep your radishes fairly moist throughout the growing season. Use straw mulch to conserve soil moisture.
Most varieties of radish matures in 25 to 35 days. Just come for a short period of time, so if left on the floor too long, can grow to be concise and floury. It's a good idea watch them closely and choose a radish from time to time to determine their maturity.
