Tomato Plants need regular feeding when they produce tomatoes, but before that, we need the minerals and nutrients that are already in the compost again.
This means that the supply of tomato is not really necessary until the flowers have a small beginning and small fruits to grow.
One of the mistakes people who are new to the culture of tomatoes do is to eat small tomato plants. This is necessary for tomato plants when they are successful, the power plants a full dose of young strength tomato food can sometimes cause damage to roots.
Here are some ways that I feed my little plants, and plants not yet fruiting.
- Grocery plant end to half strength.
- Liquid seaweed extract

Other nutrients that are sometimes used Epsom salts (Magnesium sulfate) and calcium supplements (to help prevent blossom-end rot). Not too worried about food tomato plants, just be aware not give them too much, too soon.

If the plants were transplanted compost again – in the last four five weeks – which should not be fed.
However, transplanting, feeding a force of half the food in common use is helpful (but not essential) because it helps plants has been established in their new home.
Add tomatoes food (only) when the plants start to fruit – small and it is often the best way. professional horticulturists often feed every time you water, a lower level, then the plants have access to the necessary food.

The producer of the first issue of tomatoes?
Tom bought a plant from Walmart in the spring (small inheritance yellow). The plant is large and thin but now the fruit production. Are you going to die on their own when it has finished production or during the winter and resume growth in spring next, even if care? Thank you for your responses.
Tomatoes are perennial only in the tropics, so if you live in Hawaii, for example, the plant will die after the first frost. Before the first frost forcasted collect all the green tomatoes and put them in a cool, dark place in your home mature.
