Do if it says gluten free on the label?
If you read the ingredients in a jar of salsa and no flour of any kind, but it contains vinegar, which is permitted or a tuna or salmon that contains nothing, but can you eat fish? What about tomatoes canned ingredients are organic tomatoes, simply? Does that mean it gluten-free or gluten free are obviously not gluten. Please help.
gluten-free label is useful only to identify products that normally have gluten in them and the manufacturer has done something for replace gluten. All fresh produce section of the store without gluten, with vegetables, canned and frozen foods, unless you start adding sauces. Once the sauce is added you must read labels carefully. The same thing with fresh meat. You must be careful when converted into bacon, sausage, or a steak sandwich though. So if you look at the label and the only ingredient is the product you buy, such as salmon, tuna and tomatoes then it is naturally gluten free. My favorite cookbooks are by George Stella and say nothing of being gluten free, but all the recipes for to be low in carbohydrates and except for 2 or 3 recipes in each book, they are all gluten free without saying.
