yours is good, except the tomato sauce, but for me fishfingers and salad cream on chips vinegar, salt and gravy, fried eggs in tomato sauce are good options, sausage sandwiches are always good too.

Cooking with Green Tomatoes

When it comes to cooking with green tomatoes can be used in a variety of ways. I like to use in pies, dishes, fries, marinades and drink.

Tomatoes are grown in a variety of sizes, shapes and colors. They are a fruit garden the most common found in the United States. They are rich in vitamins A and C, rich in fiber and are cholesterol free. A common misconception held by many people is that tomatoes are a vegetable. The truth is they are fruit.

When thinking tomatoes, I find there is a difference in taste between varieties defined. The sweet taste of red and green varieties taste a little more sour. I prefer to use green in recipes or dishes cooked in the oven.

Here are 3 of my favorite recipes.

Tempting Pie

3 C. tomatoes green, minced
3 tbsp. flour
1 1 / 4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 / 4 v. Tea clove scent
1 / 4 tsp. nutmeg
1 teaspoon mild vinegar
2 unbaked pie shells

Boil tomatoes for 2 minutes, drain. Add the other ingredients, mix until smooth. Pour into pie shell uncooked. Add the paste. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes until done.

Tomato sauce-Rings

4 green tomatoes, cut into 1 / 4 "thick rings
salt and pepper to taste
1 C. White cornmeal
1 C. all-purpose flour

Salt and pepper rings. Covering both sides of her rings in mixture of flour and cornmeal. Sauté over medium heat in a skillet until than gold. Serve as an appetizer or main dish.

Baking Garrison

3 1 / 2 c. cook green tomatoes
1 SM. onion, minced
1 1 / 4 c. dry breadcrumbs
1 / 2 c. Brown Sugar
1 tsp Tea. salt
1 / 8 tsp. pepper

Sauté onion in butter, add crumbs and sugar and cook gently. Add tomatoes and seasonings. Place the mixture in the roasting pan with butter and bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
