Disadvantages of organic food and farming
Organic foods are expensive
Unfortunately, when retailers are charging artificially high prices. I was in Tesco last week which is unusual for local procurement wherever possible, and I almost died when I saw the price charged for the yogurt and eggs compared to non-organic brands. I understand that we pay more for products biological, as there are more crop failures due to the fact that farmers can not use pesticides, but what is an acceptable percentage and does not vary products.
If organic fish 10 per cent more expensive than non organic fish and vegetables 20 percent, etc.? If we have to pay more for bad how the crops with processed foods that use less fresh ingredients and higher volumes? If we still have to pay a premium or just jump on the bandwagon and make us pay higher prices? Currently most organic materials are too high to be affordable for most people. Moreover, many argue that there is sufficient evidence to support the benefits of eating organic food to justify the cost additional. For example, its difficult to quantify organic potatoes can be 10% better for us, should we pay, then 10% additional Price? or we pay a living? Is not this like every clothing brand toiletries, cars? We could buy cheaper clothes, toiletires or cars as well as all the brand even more than we choose, because makes us feel better, and because of the pressure and publicity.
Organic Food Safety and Benefits
There is evidence that organic farms are more sustainable and environmentally responsible, among other benefits. These assertions however subject to controversy and not settled among scientists.
Another contentious issue surrounding organic produce is the fact that nearly 70 percent of products sold in supermarkets in the UK is imported, generating thousands of food miles to reach its destination and causing damage to environment.
Often organic food produced in England is sent from one part of the country in a distribution depot on the other later to be returned to the supermarket again. A supermarket has run a pilot where the farmer and his tractor deliver products organic supermarkets directly. Now that's progress!
Organic foods do not contain pesticides of varying amount. Much toxicologists and scientists consider the amount so low that they have no effect on the consumer. For example, fell ill in the past due to chemicals in your food? I doubt it! Only those who have an allergic reaction or eating large quantities of the same food as you can. The food is not allowed to be sold by law is dangerous.
In today's society, it is virtually impossible to cultivate free foods and organic produce pestivide even does not pretend to be totally free of chemical residues. Presticides kept in air and rivers. For example, Heinz production version organic beans and has different ingredients and packaging, which uses 100% certified organic vine ripened tomatoes. The label also reflect an organic quality – with Heinz traditional red label replaced with a greener version. Another difference: the organic version will cost about 50% over regular Heinz. Does certified organic vine ripened tomatoes cost 50 percent more to buy when you buy in bulk, I doubt it!

I have tomatoes, peppers (green, red, jalapeno, banana, Cubanelle), cucumbers, zucchini, yellow squash, watermelon and cantaloupe. What is the best organic food available in the trade / fertilizer I use on them?
Fish emulsion is professional and good for everything. If you accidentally overdo it does not burn your plants, as do other fertilizers. You can watch liquid seaweed, too.
