Why does not my tomatoes turn red?
I have several Tomato Plants produced tomatoes that were numerous but none of they have turned red. I have a couple of different varieties such as cherry and a hybrid giant. But there are some that occurred to me that I know. However, in the problem. I was later in the season, in late June or early July. Even if I have a lot of tomatoes, no of them turn red. I left this morning and found 2 red cherry tomatoes and was delighted. But I have several very large tomato have been on the field for some time that does not have even a hint of red to them. They are, however, very shade of a deep green. I do not know if I should take or what to do. Some of them were very large tomatoes on the vine for a couple of weeks. If you please help, desperate in Indiana.

Green Tomato pickles can be made using the following ingredients
Green tomatoes have long been the basis of most people in America South. A number of recipes can be created using green tomatoes. Green tomatoes are generally available at the beginning of the winter season. The marinade recipe Tomato Green part. It's a dish very tasty and enjoyed by all. Canned green tomatoes can be made with ingredients following;
1. 750 ml white vinegar (white vinegar is best for their preservation and presentation)
2. About 3 kilo grams of green tomatoes
3. 1 kilo gram of onions
4. Salt to taste (salt may be used pickling salt)
5. Half teaspoon pepper
6. 1 kg sugar grams
7. 2 red peppers, chilies
8. 2 teaspoons cloves (whole)
9. 1 / 3 cup mustard seeds
10. ¼ cup celery seed
11. 1 tablespoon allspice (pimento)
12. 1 teaspoon black pepper (ground)
The procedure for making brine is green tomatoes
* Slice the quarters or sliced tomatoes. Place the pieces and the onions cut into two separate containers. Sprinkle ¾ cup of salt over the chunks of tomato and ¼ cup of salt on the sliced onion. Stir the mixture. Place lids on the containers. The tomato and onion represent about 4 to 6 hours. After 4 to 6 hours, the tomatoes on a piece of cheese cloth and press gently to drain additional output.
* Repeat the above procedure for onions.
* After removing the tomatoes and onions in the dish, discard the brine.
* In a large saucepan or skillet, put the green tomatoes, onions, sugar, vinegar, pepper, celery seeds, mustard seeds and pepper. Stir the mixture.
* Tie the peppercorns and cloves in a cheesecloth.
* Dip the cloth containing the spices in the tomato onion mixture.
* Bring this mixture to boil.
* Reduce heat and simmer the mixture gently. This should be done keeping the pot uncovered.
* Bring the mixture for about 20 minutes until vegetables are tender and the flavor of the spices are evenly distributed in the mixture.
* To sterilize the jars by boiling jars and their lids in water for 15 to 20 minutes.
* Place the tomatoes and liquid into sterilized jars. Besides tomatoes, 1 place each pot of chili.
* Cover the jars immediately with lids and secured using rubber bands if necessary.
* An additional process must be done. It includes placing the jars in boiling water bath or a tub for 15 minutes.
* Water Salt should be stored in a cool, dark place.
* The open pickles must be refrigerated later.
