3.) Provide lots of sun tomatoes, tomato plants need at least seven hours of direct sunlight. If less, have foliage fantastic, but very little fruit. This brings up the subject of the blight of tomato. People who have tomato plants are beginning to fade automatically assume they get too much sun. There are several reasons why the tomato plants wither. Lack or excess of water is one. Tomato plants that wither in the water very long. If soils remain saturated plants die. Therefore you must plant your tomatoes in a well drained soil, or beds.

There is much that can be of bacterial wilt, except to remove and destroy infected plants. Future plantings should be made in a different location. Other common causes of wilting blight of tomato including southern wilt and root knot nematodes. Nematodes and Fusarium can be avoided by planting varieties of tomatoes resistant to two of these pests. Southern blight, however, is another of those "overnight" killers like bacterial wilt. The high content of nitrogen will encourage leaves at the expense of fruit. Look fertilizer designed for tomatoes and follow label instructions. Or better yet, throw a shovel full of compost around the plants every two weeks.
6. Identify your pest problems – remember, it is normal to see insects in your plants and chances are, most of them do not hurt. And each year the disease will be a little yellow and Browning. But you must get more than enough fruit to meet their needs, including some pest damage. At least, learn to identify pests Common tomatoes so you can make appropriate measures. Use chemicals as a last resort.
7. Buy quality plants – If you buy tomato plants, make sure you buy only those who are healthy and green, with thick stems and no tomatoes or flowers.
